  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • 7 years of experience in leadership role(s) with/without direct reports.
  • Experience in program management functions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 7 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and risks for large-scale programs.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and people management skills.

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you will manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

Google TV is redefining the TV experience to make it highly personalized, Google-smart, and content-forward to help users access the world’s media. Through recent launches like Chromecast with Google TV, we bring together the best of Google. Google TV is focused on scaling across the OEM ecosystem; working closely with third-party streaming partners plus many teams across Google (for example: Ads, Play, and YouTube); and building a business on TV platforms, OTT devices, and mobile devices. Responsibilities

  • Lead TV’s growing Technical Program Management team and a portfolio of strategic, complex, multidisciplinary programs that significantly accelerate business impact.
  • Drive program strategy, and directly and indirectly lead program teams in order to successfully deliver business, operational, and technical improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations, to drive program deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain clear communication channels with stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status and progress.
  • Scale program management best practices for your team and your organization and adjust portfolio strategy to address complex changing circumstances across your organization.
