Strategy and Operations Program Manager, Acquisitions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
  • 2 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to think strategically to solve complex and ambiguous problems.
  • Ability to drive impact in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build a trusted advisor relationship.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, particularly working cross-functionally across sales, marketing, finance, and HR.
  • Excellent attention to detail, willingness to pitch in when necessary, and SQL proficiency.

The Google Customer Solutions (GCS) Revenue Programs team is responsible for driving global insights and recommendations that unlock business growth for Google’s advertising business. The team leads the design, planning, and implementation of global business growth programs with cross-functional collaboration among sales leadership, marketing, product, and engineering.

The New Business Sales (NBS) and Upper Funnel Operations (UFO) teams are GCS’ only outbound sales business, acquiring the next generation of Google’s highest potential advertisers. As a central team for NBS/UFO, we provide business critical insights to shape the engagement strategy of our global salesforce and ensure alignment of goals and execution as we grow the business. Team members are experts in business strategy and operations, analytical and strategic, yet highly pragmatic and results-oriented.

As a Strategy and Operations Program Manager in Acquisitions, you will ensure coordinated strategy and execution of our programs globally, including NBS & UFO. In this role, you will help drive the holistic acquisitions strategy and experience for acquiring the next generation of Google's highest potential advertisers. You will deliver operational excellence across the business and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives. You will partner closely with leadership to ensure smooth execution and implementation of key changes and improvements. In this role, you will balance data-based solutions with a keen sense of stakeholder management. This will include working with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and your Strategy and Operations peers to articulate and support the solutions you develop.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver long-term growth strategies that prioritize customer and partner success.
  • Act as a key contributor and part of the Global Customer Acquisition team, partnering with peers to drive cohesive solutions that enable our advertisers to grow with Google.
  • Perform analytical deep dives and build business cases to identify high-impact strategic opportunities for our sales teams. Define actionable plans and drive end to end to implementation.
  • Involve, align, and manage relevant stakeholders across cross-functional teams and markets. Influence and build holistic plans with stakeholders across sales and other partner teams.
  • Execute market-specific acceleration/growth projects. Identify key market trends, connect back to program structure, and build transformational strategy that is clear to execute and measurable to drive impact.
