Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, consulting, marketing, or agency business.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience structuring and managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to partner with local clients and region partners.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience managing people or teams.
  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Experience in partnership with China export community and ecosystem players (e.g., agencies, media, export solutions companies, tech-driven partners, etc.).
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

The GCS Agency team is a high-performing team that drives customer success and incremental business growth with a wide range of export-focused partners and agencies.

As an Agency Lead, you will grow in a fast-paced environment and revel in navigating your team through complex and strategically important partnerships for Google. You will lead opportunity identification, joint partner business plan creation, negotiation and contracting, and partner strategy development, enabling Google to be successful. You will possess stellar relationship-building skills, and are strong in negotiation, opportunity identification, data synthesis and collaboration. You will also engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture and operations - making Google a better place to work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, inspire, and motivate a high-performing team. Provide business engagement coaching, recognize leadership potential and support career development through enhancing capabilities within the team.
  • Lead the team in building and evolving external partnerships with managed partners and across the ecosystem to accelerate GCS business growth. Sponsor strategic partnerships to breakthrough relationships and drive transformational partner success.
  • Build and manage an effective long-term business planning process at portfolio level to ensure improved same-store growth, acquisitions, partnership satisfaction and business sustainability.
  • Develop strategic partner initiatives and lead go-to-market strategies to meet program and customer needs across rapidly changing industries. Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on GCS business priorities and drive strategic initiative implementations.
  • Ensure team readiness to deliver complex partnership solutions and create a culture of sales innovation and customer success on the team.
