Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working in a thermal measurement or test, or reliability test field, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years working experience in a JDM or ODM company.
- Understanding of Server System architecture, including physical, functional, logical, mechanical, electrical, software and thermal.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage the needs of multiple lab users.

In this role, you will design Google proprietary compute, storage, and AI/ML machines to fulfill Google Data Center internal use and external Cloud customers. Thermal Test Engineer is to ensure the quality and reliability of the design.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the hardware engineer, hardware test engineer, thermal engineer or mechanical engineers to define, generate the test plan, set up the test equipment, configure the test setup of the DUT, perform the thermal test, characterize the thermal behavior of the product.
- Perform the thermal simulation to analyze the characteristics of the systems or one particular component.
- Collaborate with the JDM/CM.
- Work with the thermal chamber lab to coordinate the daily operation and maintenance.
