  • 11 years of experience with working in advertising business, marketing, consulting, media or advertising agencies.
  • Professional working proficiency in Japanese and English to support client relationship management in this market.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 20 years of experience successfully navigating and delivering results within a complex, matrixed, or global organization.
  • Team management experience in a sales organization or related field.
  • Experience in sales within a technology, advertising, media sales, or internet environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, creative thinking, and aptitude skills, with the ability to grow in an ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including mentoring and developing team members.

The Mid-Market Sales (MMS) team is a critical growth engine for clients in Google Customer Solutions (GCS) designed to grow medium and large sized fast growing businesses in Japan. Through long-term relationship development, we are dedicated to understanding the business goals by providing advertising solutions to drive business success.

As a Senior Account Executive, you use your working knowledge of advertising and your industry vertical to help your team identify and enable longer-term opportunities by contributing to business plan development, account-level strategy, and annual activation plans. You support your team in sales strategy development, presenting, customer relationship growth, and opportunity sizing. You contribute to cross-team collaborations to support customer growth, align on opportunity/project timelines and goals, and ensure Google solutions are presented to customers. You develop relationships with customers, acting as a point of contact.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a partnership with executive-levels or key decision makers and act as a trusted consultant with strong understanding in marketing strategy, industry insights, optimizing and expanding advertising investment.
  • Structure a clear, long-term joint strategy between Google and clients, and lead a cross-functional team within Google to collaborate on projects and drive client success. 
  • Plan for, and achieve, growth goals, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives.
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers.
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of how Google Advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
