Product Lead

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in product management, building software products from concept to delivery.
  • Experience designing technology solutions to business needs, working with engineers to implement, test, launch, and deploy those solutions.
  • Experience managing product roadmaps, influencing cross-functional business and technical teams, and communicating complex product concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Experience working with the Salesforce platform.

About the job

As a product lead on the Content Partnerships Systems team within Business Technology at YouTube, you will own capabilities of our systems that support YouTube’s business organization. You will work with Business Technology engineering teams to define and realize a direction for internal tools and systems that will empower content partnerships teams to drive impact to YouTube partners, helping creators, artists, and media companies to reach their full potential with audiences around the world.

You will understand user needs to defining product requirements to launching and landing new and improved capabilities for our users. This will include evaluating and documenting needs, scoping solutions, identifying risks, and communicating goals and milestones to business stakeholders globally.

Responsibilities

  • Structure and lead the design and development of system capabilities that empower YouTube’s business organization, aligning with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and cross-functional partners to solve for business goals using technology.
  • Define requirements and lead the team’s efforts towards delivery, ensuring that everything we release is tested, launched, communicated, and adopted effectively.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform decisions, and communicate insights to build consensus across cross-functional teams.
  • Land releases by working with stakeholders to provide documentation, training, troubleshooting, and support and by defining success.
  • Be available to meet live with colleagues on US time zones 3-4 hours per day, 3-4 days per week, with coverage across both east and west coasts.
