Google Store is the first-party e-commerce site for Google's expanding hardware and services portfolio, including Pixel, Google Nest, Pixelbook, Chromecast, and more. Our site handles over 50,000 queries per second, offering up-to-the-second inventory availability, engaging product displays, global order fulfillment, and comprehensive returns/repairs. Our team of 140+ engineers develops and operates the sophisticated commerce platform that powers Google Store.

Catalog Data Ingestion and Data Quality Team mission is to simplify merchant and catalog on-boarding through standardized data feeds, ensure data accuracy through a combination of heuristics and AI-driven quality checks, and create tools for efficient catalog management. We are seeking a full-stack software engineer to help us build the next generation of catalog infrastructure.Google Store focuses on building relationships with customers and providing the best experiences with our devices and services. Google Store offers first-party retail experiences with our products, both online and at our physical retail stores in New York City, Mountain View and Boston.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Catalog feed standardization, ingestion, and data quality infrastructure.
  • Work with engineering leads, UX designers, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to define and execute the goal for new capabilities.
  • Deliver a robust, high-performance serving system capable of handling hundreds of thousands of queries per second.
  • Enhance data models, and infrastructure to ensure reliable, low-latency serving.
  • Participate actively in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
