Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
- Experience in a hyperscaler cloud marketplace, with focus on software licensing, procurement, and governance.
- Experience with IaaS/PaaS/SaaS markets, business-to-business software ecosystem, life-cycle, and cloud-based technologies.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or practical experience.
- Ability to deliver value through own initiative.
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively at an executive level.
- Ability to translate data and trends into powerful strategies and compelling messages.
- Ability to combine your strategic, planning, service, and execution skills to communicate clearly with counterparts in Sales, Marketing, Product, and Sales Operations.
- Excellent project management, people management and organizational skills.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.
As a Google Cloud Marketplace Business Development Manager, you will grow in a fast-paced environment, develop a strong understanding of internal Google processes, products, and teams, and revel in managing big, complex and strategically important relationships for Google Cloud Marketplace. You will manage or deepen relationships with key industry partners, execute agreements, and track impact, enabling Google to be successful. You will collaborate with cross-functional peers, navigate a rapidly-changing environment, and drive operational excellence across the business.
You will drive customer and partner technical requirements and feature requests back to Global Product Leads and Product Management. Your depth of experience in the cloud Software-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS) ISV ecosystem gives you first-hand insights into the vendors and industry trends that will enable your success in driving associated partnerships. You will coordinate across other Google groups to help deliver partner-led technical solutions for the benefit of our customers.
Responsibilities
- Establish category strategies and partner priorities that will inform recruiting and partner development focus to grow the Marketplace business. Be responsible for recruiting, developing, and supporting strategic technology partnerships as related to marketplace.
- Understand customer needs within the category pillar and leverage those insights to advocate partner integrations with our technologies. Partner with Product and Engineering teams to help drive platform roadmap.
- Work with Global System Integrators/Systems Integrators on bringing solutions to market via Cloud Marketplaces, including AI solutions (e.g., AI agents).
- Own outcomes for named categories including driving Marketplace with large or multiple smaller ecosystem partners/suppliers as a key individual contributor.
- Lead the identification, creation, negotiation, and implementation of effective business development agreements that drive results for Google.
