Sales Manager, Google Customer Solutions (English, Dutch)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of industry experience in advertising, marketing or sales, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience managing a sales team.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Dutch fluently to engage with clients in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of traditional and online marketing strategies.
  • Ability to own sales team operations in The Netherlands and Belgium: portfolio management, team building, KPI measurement, execution.
  • Ability to model and coach business behaviours including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, engaged selling.
  • Ability to grow in a fluid environment, with effective communication, problem-solving and investigative skills.
  • Passion for selling and a drive to innovate, with excellent communication skills.

As a Sales manager, you'll lead and coach high-performing account teams that use consultative sales skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses. You will also work with the sales leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business. Sales managers willingly help their teams and roll up their sleeves to partner directly with clients to provide comprehensive service. You are an excellent communicator with a proven ability to train and motivate a large team, and you take an analytical approach to sales management.

This GCS team drives growth for SMBs with expansion potential in The Netherlands and Belgium.

In this role, you will lead and coach a high-performing sales team that uses sales skills to understand our advertisers needs and deliver solutions that grow their businesses. You will lead relationships and sales engagement with high potential small businesses from all verticals and business models in the market. You will set up long term success by bringing the best of digital ad solutions from Google. Your knowledge of the GCS business landscape and online media, combined with your sales and investigative abilities, shapes how new and existing clients will grow. You will work with the sales leadership team to set objectives and run the operations for the business. You will help the teams to partner with clients to provide comprehensive service. You will train a large team, with an investigative approach to sales management.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, retain, motivate and develop a client-facing and high-performing sales team.
  • Deliver against ambitious business and product goals, grow engagement and client satisfaction for a portfolio of small businesses in Belgium/The Netherlands.
  • Analyse data, trends, and client performance with the teams to develop plans for customers while tracking activity and provide detailed data analysis weekly, and drive consistent CRM tracking.
  • Model and coach sales behaviors including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, and promoting.
  • Ensure team readiness to deliver complex advertising solutions and create a culture of sales innovation and advertiser success on the team.
