About the job

As a member of the Executive and Internal Communications team, you will be part of a team which produces employee communications and events for Google executives. You will work with members of your internal client team on communications initiatives, projects and programs. You will support the work of the team to create strategic communications campaigns, come up with innovative ways to engage employees that are in tune with Google's culture, write communications, business update presentations and talking points. You will also collaborate with internal partners as needed across functions (PR, Policy, Legal, HR, Operations, etc.) and geographies.

As a Executive Communications Manager, you will help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders, and our own employees about the benefits of YouTube's products, our distinctive company culture and values, and our approach to the big issues of the day. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to prepare internal and external speeches, strategy talks, blog posts, social posts, briefings and more around complex topics for executives to deliver. You will understand complex issues, break them down, and coach executives on the best ways to communicate ideas. You will craft everything from inspiring speeches and punchy emails to organizational narratives. You will also produce our quarterly All Team, making sure every message hits home and every question gets a satisfying answer.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$157,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop, write and edit communications for executives, including organizational narratives, speeches, blog posts, social posts, emails, briefings and slide presentations.
  • Produce quarterly internal company-wide meeting, including managing show content, drafting scripts for executives, crafting presentation narratives, managing question and answers including crafting answers that will resonate with employees, etc.
  • Build partnerships with key internal stakeholders, collaborating across teams and geographies to share information and build robust communications material/resources with proof points that support the business (i.e., claims council, mining for creator stories, etc.).
  • Develop creative strategies for communicating about complex, sensitive subjects that are easy to understand and resonate with the audience.
  • Draft communications that reflects an understanding of a senior executive’s goals and leadership style.
