MediaCo Strategic Partner Manager, YouTube, UKI

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience working with UK Media sector partners.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience in managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with strategic partner development and negotiation through business development and driving product adoption.
  • Experience managing an off-platform digital presence on behalf of a media organisation.
  • Knowledge of YouTube product and content strategy.
  • Ability to secure buy-in from cross-functional and to lead teams.
  • Ability to communicate and influence externally.
  • Excellent strategic consultation, investigative, public speaking, and presentation skills with various external stakeholders.

As a Strategic Partner Manager for Large Partner Media Companies, you will work to drive adoption of YouTube with strategic partners in the UK Media environment, build YouTube’s position as the leading Living Room distribution platform is a key priority, and this role is critical in building the relationships with key content partners.

Operating with autonomy and a high degree of visibility, you will work with partners both to deliver YouTube’s strategy and support Partner goals, be these anchored in audience or financial metrics. You will act as a thought leader for how to engage with the sector, and build YouTube’s product offer, market share and contribution to the industry. This may include activities such as running workshops or Accelerator programmes, hosting round tables. You will collaborate cross-functionally on a regional and global level, in particular with YouTube’s global Go-To-Market (GTM) teams, Government Affairs and Public Policy, Marketing and Creator teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive adoption for YouTube by communicating the value of the platform, and in helping partners achieve their goals and providing consultative support.
  • Work across a wide variety of partner types, strategically deploy a range of high-touch and scaled support.
  • Support YouTube’s public policy strategy by helping key opinion formers to see success on YouTube, deliver tentpole events and drive Creator collaborations.
  • Be the external representative for YouTube at trainings, workshops, and industry events featuring partners from key Media companies.
  • Collaborate with a number of cross-functional teams including Government Affairs and Public Policy, Marketing, Creator, Operations, Product, Legal and Communications.
