Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in program or technical project management.
- Experience on developing and scaling NPI manufacturing, including fixture design and process controls.
- Experience in engineering requirements at vendors resolving failures.
- Experience in tolerance analysis, fixture design for tight tolerances, and a communicator/team player.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), demonstrating a theoretical foundation.
- 8 years of experience, with a volume of consumer electronics, including NPI and sustaining phases, under a production ramp-ups and environment.
- Experience in 3D modeling modifications (NX, Creo, SolidWorks) and knowledge in SMT processes.
- Experience in adhesives, heat staking, ultrasonic welding, display/camera alignment, and micron-level assembly.
- Experience in SAS software (JMP, Minitab), MES, SPC, and application of manufacturing statistics/DOE.
- Experience in vendor selection for emerging technologies and with clean room manufacturing requirements.

As a Technical Program Manager for Manufacturing Process, you will be responsible for developing and evaluating solutions to new engineering problems. Design, develop, test, and qualify solutions in a manufacturing environment, including emphasizing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and early involvement with product design team to ensure manufacturability, yield improvement, cost reduction and scale, mechanical fixture design and test, automation, failure analysis, and advanced process controls. Collaborate with other multi-disciplinary teams to maintain a functional relationship to co-develop and structure future requirements. Maintain clear documentation and communication of goals, risks, status, and prioritized feature requests and bugs.The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering in both process development and mechanical fixture designs to product manufacturing to production, including working with agreement manufacturers and vendors to prioritize and solve problems.
- Expert in design for manufacture ability (DFM) and influence Product Design to improve manufacture ability for yield, cost, and reliability.
- Collaborate with Product Design engineers and EE to ensure robust design for manufacturing.
- Interface cross-functionally with design and commodity teams in down-selection, sourcing, qualification, and integration of components and vendors used in Google’s products.
- Work with Quality and Reliability teams to define requirements for shipment.
