Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience working in a optical sensor design, development, and testing technical environment.
- 3 years of experience in technical leadership.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or Ph.D. with emphasis on biophotonics or medical sensing.
- 10 years of experience in optical sensor design, development, and testing, with applications in health or medical devices.
- Experience launching optical sensor products or systems for health monitoring from concept to production.

Responsibilities
- Design, model, and simulate optical sensor systems and components (e.g., LEDs, lasers, photodiodes, spectrometers, optical fibers, lenses) for health and biometric signal acquisition.
- Develop and execute test plans for characterizing optical sensor performance in the context of biological signal measurement, including calibration, validation, and reliability testing.
- Prototype, build, and integrate optical sensor modules into health monitoring devices and systems.
- Analyze experimental data, including physiological signals, troubleshoot issues, and optimize sensor performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biomedical engineers, data scientists, mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure product development and integration.
