Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, Flights

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development or partnerships in the travel industry, specifically in the aviation industry
  • Demonstrated experience managing a partner portfolio to achieve product objectives, operational efficiency, and partner satisfaction.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Legal).
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail, prioritize partners and initiatives, and adapt to changes.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Significant project and program management experience across various projects and teams.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The Knowledge and Information (K&I) Partnerships team is responsible for negotiating and managing partnerships that help build, differentiate, and scale Google's products across Ads, Search, Gemini, Social Impact, Geo, Real World Journeys, Commerce, and Research & Core. The team's mission is to create healthy ecosystems that bring sustainable value to Google by building product partnerships that enable cohesive, helpful, and user journeys.

The EMEA Real World Journeys partnerships team is responsible for business development and managing partnerships in EMEA across multiple products that help users with their search journeys for Going Out experiences (Food, Things to do, Events), Getting There (Flights, Transport) and Lodging (Hotels, Vacation Rentals) among others.

We are seeking a business development professional to join the Real World Journeys team. Our team develops partnerships to expand the use of our products in areas such as hotels, airlines, activities, and restaurants. This involves adopting new features, acquiring content, and engaging with the ecosystem. This role will focus on Flights.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Managing C-level relationships to help Google achieve significant results: continue growing our most successful RWJ vertical (flights), collaborate with product and other stakeholders to maximize value for our partners and users (through adoption of new features, use of insights, distribution etc.). 
  • Ensure the quality and comprehensiveness of Google flights product which is one of the flagship products of Google and one of the big bets of 2025.
  • Foster relationships with Priority partners and help enable x-Google collaborations (eg. with Cloud).
  • Influence cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Legal, etc.) to align resources and direction for GTM strategy and partner initiatives.

  • Manage the end-to-end partner experience, including contract negotiation, account planning, partner pitching, issue resolution, and partner advocacy.
