Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 15 years of experience within one or more of the following fields: strategy consulting, business development, or corporate strategy leadership
- 5 years of management experience leading teams in a cross-functional environment
- 5 years of experience in the Telco industry
- Experience managing partnerships with Telco companies
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing partners and leading complex, multi-stakeholder deals
- Experience in leading cross-functional strategic projects (e.g., strategic plan, new product launch) from inception to deployment
- Experience influencing leaders, presenting to executives, and navigating senior stakeholder relationships and conflict resolution
- Deep knowledge of the telecommunications industry and a proven track record of managing partnerships with telco companies
- Ability to lead through change, adapt to ambiguity, evaluate risk, and thrive in fast-paced environments
About the job
As a Director on this team, you will strategically advance Google's partnerships with critical Telco partners in the Americas, a pivotal region for strategic growth and innovation. You will cultivate relationships with peers in all business and functional teams across Google with an interest in Google’s Global & Americas Top Partners, to drive proactive "One Google" dealmaking and holistic partnership strategy. You will work in close collaboration with frontline sales and BD teams, and actively lead engagement strategy across product areas, including driving alignment across senior stakeholders to grow our business with these strategic partners.
You will lead a sizable team of top partner managers covering many of Google’s most strategic Global & Americas Telco partners and industry bodies. Your team will develop cross-Google strategies for these partners, engaging externally to manage partner-facing pursuits across Google.
In this role, you will immerse yourself in these holistic partner strategies to draw insights on macro industry trends, identify transformational opportunities, and interact externally to advance partnership priorities with key partners and industry bodies. Acting as a true thought leader, you will challenge, advise, and support our business and product teams to optimize Google’s engagements with these partners.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $262,000-$369,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Lead and develop a team of internal experts on Global and Americas Telco partners, working in close collaboration with senior stakeholders across Google (including with frontline sales and BD teams, P&D, Cloud, and Product stakeholders) to establish and drive a holistic “One Google” partnership strategy.
- Lead the development and activation of industry-specific and collaboration strategies, incorporating critical and emerging topics (e.g. GenAI). Work with regional customer-facing and cross-functional teams to develop and utilize playbooks across these topics.
- Lead global working groups composed of industry leaders and top partner managers to work on critical, widespread industry and strategy topics.
- Set the strategic vision for providing scaled “One Google” support for this critical book of business, including evaluating and refreshing the book as needed based on top partner program criteria.
