Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in Java.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience with back-end and distributed systems.
- Experience with database design, implementation, and optimizations.

Google Store seeks talented software engineers to use Google's computing infrastructure to build innovative e-commerce capabilities that make it easy and delightful to buy Google's hardware products. The Commerce Services team develops critical infrastructure for the Google Store including checkout, cart, and inventory. This ranges from AI-enhanced site operations to agentic AI shopping assistance, ensuring a seamless and intelligent experience at every touchpoint.

- Set technical direction building services powering e-commerce site with a focus on reliability and scalability.
- Build highly scalable, low latency, resilient mobile+web applications and back-end systems.
- Build next-generation commerce software platform that allow customers to buy hardware and subscription products on multiple sites.
- Design innovative website capabilities to delight consumers as they learn about and purchase our hardware products.
