Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in customer or partner-facing roles, sales or technical enablement, or consulting with an enterprise technology company.
  • Experience in cloud computing (e.g., applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms and data), as well as cloud market and competitive dynamics.
  • Experience with building scalable partnerships with partners, global system integrators, and consultancies.
  • Experience in planning and developing solutions.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with alliance strategy formulation to execution.
  • Experience with team management or leadership.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Expertise in specific industries (e.g., manufacturing, finance, retail).

As a Partner Development Manager at Google Cloud, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our growth by leading the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy from planning to execution with our named partners. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and develop innovative solution development strategies that merge the strengths of our partners with the power of Google Cloud technologies. These solutions will directly address the challenges faced by our partners' customers. You'll be instrumental in formulating and driving the execution of these strategies. Furthermore, you'll establish and agree upon numerical goals with our partners, fostering strong, regular relationships and conducting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to ensure sustained business impact and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify market opportunities and collaboratively develop joint Go-to-Market strategies with assigned named partners.
  • Formulate concrete execution plans (covering marketing, sales, solution development, etc.) based on the strategy, driving them in close coordination with partners.
  • Understand the strengths of our partners and Google Cloud products and services (including AI/ML, data analytics, infrastructure) to formulate high-value solution development strategies that solve customer challenges.
  • Work closely with partner technical and Sales teams to support and drive the concretization, Proof of Concept (PoC), launch, and deployment of solutions.
  • Agree on numerical goals with assigned partners, including business goals, customer acquisition goals, and solution adoption goals, and develop strategic roadmaps for their achievement.
