Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, or media.
  • 6 years of experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience presenting to and collaborating with C-suite executives, ideally within the retail industry.
  • Experience in people management with the ability to lead large and executive teams, including performance management and to manage change effectively within organizations.
  • Experience in target-driven sales with the ability to succeed in a dynamic, target-oriented sales environment.
  • Understanding of changing consumer behaviors and their impact on the broader media ecosystem.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Dutch fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
  • Excellent communication skills.

As an Industry Head you lead a high-performing sales team, fostering talent development and managing client relationships both collaboratively and independently. You will lead difficult pitches, and initiate high-level strategic conversations. You will drive a dynamic sales team towards significant business growth and enhanced product uptake, prioritizing client and partner contentment. You will play a crucial role in the local Sales leadership team and community, bringing and building a growth mindset, influencing and implementing growth strategies. Develop and strengthen C-level connections with brand advertisers and their agencies, leading the way in creative ideas within the advertising industry. You will coach your team to set high ambition account plans and execute strategies, helping and inspiring clients to achieve their objectives and to be successful in a world of on-demand viewership and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions using Google's products and services.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high performing sales team specializing in retail and multichannel marketing solutions, focus on talent development and the management of client relationships.
  • Deliver on product adoption and substantial business growth for the customer and Google by enhanced channel engagement, prioritize client satisfaction and partnership development.
  • Develop and strengthen C-level relationships with retail clients and agencies, introduce creative and effective multichannel marketing solutions.
  • Interact with clients, lead high-impact pitches, and initiate strategic conversations about multichannel marketing.
  • Design and execute tailored business plans, account plans and strategies, help clients achieve their goals in the evolving retail landscape, leverage advanced technology and data-driven insights.
