Business Development Manager, Retail, Google Cloud (English, Mandarin)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or account management at a B2B software company.
  • Experience in hunting sales supporting Retail industry in the Greater China.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in the Greater China region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing partners in implementation projects, including global system integrators and packaged software vendors.
  • Experience with commercial and legal agreements within Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.
  • Ability to work with sales engineers and customer technical leads to inventory existing software estates, define migration plans, and build business cases for migrations.
  • Ability to leverage C-level relationships with multiple executives to optimize software sales.

As a Business Development Manager supporting Strategic Accounts, you will be leading the growth strategy for a business group within one of our most strategic customers and partners. You will leverage experience engaging with executives to build on existing relationships and establish relationships in new areas. As a trusted business partner, you will be deeply invested in the customer's industry, their engaged environment, technical challenges, financial models, and broader business goals. You will be part of a large and successful account team working to harness all the assets Google has to support the customers' success.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities

  • Build and grow executive relationships with enterprise customers, and contribute existing cross-organization relationships to help grow into new organizations. Influence long-term strategic direction and serve as a business partner. Focusing on South China Retail customers.
  • Manage entire complex business process, often presenting to C-level executives in corporate and global customers.
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, working collaboratively with Customer Engineers, and Google Partners to maximize growth in the area and create opportunities with large enterprise customers.
  • Understand each customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans, business drivers, technology strategy, and external landscape.
  • Drive business development, forecast accurately and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business process.
