Vendor Manager, Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, a quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in vendor strategy and operations, either in vendor management (working at the client) or in vendor delivery (working at the supplier).
  • Experience in change management, with a focus on productivity.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience utilizing data analysis to generate insights, influence executive stakeholders, and drive decision-making.
  • Experience leading complex, high-value agreement and structuring sophisticated commercial agreements.
  • Experience managing global operations with evidence of driving substantial year-over-year improvements in productivity, efficiency, and overall value creation through initiatives.
  • Understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge of applying automation principles and technologies (e.g., RPA, workflow automation) within an operational context.
  • Excellent problem solving and quantitative skills.

Our Vendor Management Operations (VMO) team plays a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing the company's global extended workforce capabilities. We are responsible for the lifecycle of our vendor partnerships encompassing strategy formulation, partner selection, advanced performance management, governance, and the integration of innovative technologies. We partner deeply across all business units, ensuring our vendor ecosystem functions as a powerful engine for competitive advantage, efficiency, and scalable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, articulate, and implement comprehensive, long-term global vendor and location strategies aligned with overarching business goals and market dynamics.
  • Lead complex, high-value agreement, structuring innovative commercial models (e.g., outcome-based, gain-sharing) that drive optimal value, performance, and alignment.
  • Develop and implement plans to address underperforming vendors. This includes the ability to analyze input Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify root causes and drive performance improvements.
  • Drive transformational improvements in vendor operations by proactively identifying, evaluating, and building business cases for the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and other automation technologies.
  • Collaborate strategically with key internal stakeholders across functions (e.g., Sales, Engineering, Finance, Product, Legal) to deeply understand their evolving needs and ensure vendor capabilities and solutions are tightly aligned.
