Customer Engineer, Digital Native, Google Cloud (English, Korean)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience with generative AI, including Large Language Models (LLMs), multi-modal models, and leveraging frameworks.
  • Experience presenting technical solutions and their business value to both technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Experience architecting and building machine learning(ML)/data analytics(DA) solutions, including data pipelines, ML pipelines, model training and serving infrastructure.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Korean fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in English and Korean with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Machine Learning model development and deployment frameworks for deep learning (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, Jax, Ray, etc.), AI accelerators (e.g. TPUs, GPUs), and using machine learning APIs.
  • Experience in building machine learning solutions and leveraging specific machine learning architectures (e.g. deep learning, LSTM, convolutional networks).
  • Experience in data and information management as it relates to big data and AI trends and issues within businesses.
  • Experience in architecting and developing software or infrastructure for distributed systems.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT Technology space.

As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with technical Sales teams as a data analytics subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks related to database migrations, data back ends and all aspects of the data lifecycle. You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical solutions on Google Cloud. You will have technical, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical objections and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Provide Google Cloud expertise to support the technical relationship with Google’s customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept, and partnering with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud integrations, and recommend integration strategies, architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.
  • Establish their technology and business decisions as a trusted advisor.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other events as needed.
