Accountant, International Controllership

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years working experience in Finance (Accounting and Taxes), Compliance, Finance Operations, etc.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL and SAP ERP.
  • Understanding of accounting principles (IFRS and US GAAP) and knowledge of electronic invoicing & accounting rules in LATAM.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and focus on continuous improvement, and solid understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and to support complex operational initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets/Google Sheets.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of accounting & tax processes performed by external vendors ensuring that all service levels are met, the internal control environment is robust and a quality service is provided. 
  • Guide the business to mitigate risk, support decision making and help build the financial infrastructure to scale in support of the business and manage SFS Audit deliverables, external audit management and follow up.
  • Participate in ongoing policy, system and control improvements to ensure Sox, local compliance and review, and post entries including intercompany transactions, interest on loans, are complying with local statutory and tax regulations.
  • Perform P&L and balance sheet analysis to support month end close process, providing MoM, QoQ, YoY analysis for both, US and local books.
  • Prepare Financial Analysis, Management Reports, Statutory Financial Statements according to IFRS review and approve reconciliations.
