Director, Global Business Transformation

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of professional experience in strategy and operations, with a focus on designing and implementing tools, systems, and process improvements in a scaled business environment.
  • Experience in managing managers and leading vendor management teams and full time employee teams.
  • Experience in program management, tasks planning, execution, or project delivery.
  • Experience with enterprise business systems and tools in a commercial environment.
  • Experience with consumer electronics or hardware products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Certified or equivalent practical experiences.
  • Experience collaborating and influencing across multiple key stakeholders or global functions, including global/regional Sales (on-line and off-line), Product and Marketing, with solid working knowledge of Finance and Operations.
  • Ability to operate with high urgency, adaptability, and clarity of thought, in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to represent complex business or technical concepts with senior leadership.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, strategic, and analytical skills, combined with strong business acumen and excellent communication skills, particularly with executive-level stakeholders.

The Global Business Transformation team drives impactful programs, streamlined processes, and robust systems across DSBO (Devices & Services Business Organization) and D&S. As Director of Global Business Transformation, you will be leading a team of vendor workforce responsible for the operations architecture, as well as a portfolio of operational tools and systems initiatives aimed at establishing and enhancing business and sales operations excellence.

You will partner closely with DSBO leadership, regional and global Sales stakeholders, and cross-functional business partners and channels to shape and execute business strategy through optimized systems and processes across the broader organization.

This opportunity will allow you to build impactful stakeholder relationships, serve as a catalyst for transformation, and provide thought leadership in business innovation, directly contributing to the establishment of core business capabilities.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $269,000-$378,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to proactively identify/evaluate critical business challenges to develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for transformative change aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the creation, implementation, and delivery of multiple large-scale transformation programs within Devices and Services Business Organization and product area, driving efficiency and productivity improvements across planning and forecasting, sales reporting, promo planning/management, and sales incentive planning.
  • Assess and enhance systems, tools, and processes through close partnership with Data and Analytics and Business Systems, effectively prioritizing initiatives and ensuring business requirements are met.
  • Drive and optimize the performance of a large vendor team to enhance commercial operations capabilities, proactively driving continuous improvement through data-driven insights and solutions.
  • Attract, recruit, and develop exceptional talent at all levels to establish a high-performing team of transformation professionals that can scale.
