About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Google Maps aims to reflect the real world in real time, yet the real world is constantly changing. The UGC (User Generated Content) team is responsible for enabling our Maps users to tell us about what they're seeing in the real world related to their experiences with places and navigation. Empowering our users to tell us about the changes that they're seeing is critical to Google Maps mission to assist people everywhere as they navigate, explore, and get things done in the world.

As a Program Manager, you will lead software engineering projects in one of our core programming languages and influence teams that design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software. You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate clearly with project stakeholders. You’ll learn and grow alongside talented teammates who share your attention to detail and appetite for problem-solving.

In this role, you will be responsible for making the user experience seamless, engaging and even fun.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.
