Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with SMT and box build manufacturing processes.
- Experience developing PCBA manufacturing processes including acceptance testing, startup, and qualification.
- Experience performing DFx using tools like Valor and Allegro.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in new site/line/equipment bring up/transfer and qualification.
- Experience with a Product Data Management (PDM) tool (e.g., SAP, Agile, Windchill).
- Experience with manufacturing standard procedures (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) and new product development.
- Experience in project engineering, overseeing NPI operational readiness for Level 6 and Level 10.
- Ability to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous process improvements working with cross functional teams, contract manufacturers and suppliers.

Responsibilities
- Support the advanced manufacturing engineer in development of manufacturing processes solutions and capabilities including industry first process definition, startup, and qualification.
- Strategize the implementation of innovative manufacturing processes into established production and capacity planning to achieve forecast goals.
- Develop manufacturing documentation (Bill of materials (BOM), assembly drawings, work instructions) to support new product introductions, and establish and maintain manufacturing and quality processes for Google's new technologies, utilizing existing tools and processes to ensure effective production.
- Collaborate with design and cross-functional engineering teams throughout NPI phases to identify value engineering opportunities, ensure Design for Excellence (DFx) and manufacturability.
- Work with manufacturing partners in build readiness, process validation, solve design and manufacturing challenges efficiently to meet project timing and ensure NPI launch.
