Product Manager I, Teen Quality, You Tube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in product management.
  • Experience driving product launches within machine learning, AI or content recommendations products.
  • Experience in driving elements of the product development life-cycle (e.g., identifying user needs, product roadmap, product requirements, collaborating with engineers during development and addressing issues that arise, product launch and go-to-market, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience working with engineering and research teams on Content Recommendations, Large Scale Online Experimentation and Analysis, Machine Learning, Embeddings, Recommendation Models, Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Experience with driving consumer experiences, ability to commission user research and collaborate closely with user research through the life-cycle of user testing, working with UX design, and full-stack engineering teams.

In this role, you will work with cross-functional stakeholders to ideate, design, and launch innovative products for teens. You will also work with Machine Learning (ML) engineers to define the goal for improving Search and Discovery quality on YouTube's Supervised Experience for tweens.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with User Research, Partnerships, Marketing, and Trust and Safety to identify user needs and define a multi-year goal for teens on Main app that helps them build agency and become good digital citizens.
  • Partner with Machine Learning (ML) engineers and User Research to define the roadmap for Search and Discovery quality viewing on YouTube’s Supervised Experience for tweens.
  • Understand markets, competition, and user requirements in depth.
  • Launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly.
  • Develop solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions.
