About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Logistics Insights Team develops metrics and provides actionable insights for the Global Logistics Organization (GLO) under Google Cloud.

Our team supports the broader GLO organization by extracting, developing, and visualizing data across all of GLO's global operations. Our mission is to provide visibility and actionable recommendations to Operations on how to best service internal Google Cloud customers. Our domain expertise in supply chain enables us to understand operational considerations for the functional areas that we support. Within GLO, we provide insights into our Transportation, Compliance, and Warehouse and Data Center Operations teams, and drive continuous organizational change.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and structure logistics and supply chain data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and quality.
  • Define, track, and analyze critical supply chain metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, inventory levels, transportation costs, demand forecast accuracy), identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to pinpoint the root causes of supply chain inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or cost drivers.
  • Develop models to enhance demand forecasting, optimize inventory allocation, improve route planning, or streamline other supply chain processes.
  • Partner with teams across logistics, procurement, sales, and operations to understand their data needs and drive data-informed decision-making. Translate complex findings into clear reports, dashboards, and presentations that effectively communicate insights to non-technical audiences.
