About the job
BigQuery is Google's serverless data warehousing and analytics system for the world's largest and most critical workloads. BigQuery pioneered the model of a infinitely scalable, disaggregated storage model among cloud data warehouses, and continues to innovate to bring insights to datasets as fast as possible. Operational analytics is an area that BigQuery is only partially addressing and the vision is to make BigQuery the industry’s leading operational analytics platform.
As the Principal Engineer you will lead BigQuery’s strategic initiative to become the industry’s leading operational analytics platform. This is a critical role to ensure we continue to innovate in a hyper-competitive market. You will work across the entire BigQuery stack—including storage, streaming, query processing, search, and ML—to drive the technical vision and own the experience for key customers.

We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably.
