Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Crisis Management, Risk Management, Emergency Management OR equivalent management experience in a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in crisis/incident management, resilience, business continuity, or security.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in setting up an enterprise crisis management capability, leading crisis response and delivering crisis management training.
  • Experience in working and collaborating as part of a team to achieve operational priorities and deliver projects.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving teams using structured approaches.
  • Ability to maintain confidence and professionalism when leading others through ambiguous situations and influencing diplomatically and fairly.
  • Ability to leverage communication skills (written, verbal, and visual) to effectively engage and influence others with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent team-building and teamwork attributes, along with the capacity to work well under pressure and pivot when necessary.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Google's Data Center Compliance, Safety and Risk Management team is a dedicated organization chartered with protecting the people and assets of Google’s global technical infrastructure.

We help develop a culture where security, risk, and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop industry-leading programs that drive sustainable effectiveness. You will manage and execute the Crisis Management Program for Google’s Technical Infrastructure, oversee and coordinate crisis response to ensure minimal disruptions to the business, provide guidance and serve as the primary point of contact during crises in your primary region as well as globally, ensuring clear and effective communication with stakeholders. Manage the development and implementation of the crisis management program at the site/regional/global level while maintaining awareness of emerging threats to the business that could result in a crisis in your primary region as well as globally. Organize and deliver integrated exercising in support of the SOLID program and wider initiatives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate crisis management activations and provide support to crisis management teams throughout crisis events (during and outside of office hours).
  • Support crisis teams within and outside the primary region for activation and globally as necessary, supporting the follow the sun model.
  • Deliver crisis management training to different stakeholders and teams. Liaise with the threat intelligence team on (potential) threats to Google’s TI Assets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to align on Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), risks and training initiatives.
  • Liaise with counterpart Regional and Area Security Operations Center (RSOC) Crisis Management Service Desk. Liaise with key stakeholders to collaborate and build effective relationships and capability.
