Minimum qualifications:

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager on the Advanced Energy Labs team, you will help lead our efforts in developing new software and data solutions to enable 24/7 carbon-free energy and clean capacity growth. You will identify gaps and opportunities to drive energy transformation in our operations and through our products.

You will manage software programs within the energy industry with knowledge of electricity markets and energy data. You will be driving technical discussions with engineering teams as well as external commercial discussions.

The Google Climate Operations team is responsible for ensuring Google achieves 24/7 Carbon-Free Energy and Net Zero emissions for our global operations and value chain by 2030. The team works cross-functionally across our global operations and hardware supply chains to develop and scale new solutions on energy and carbon. It also leads efforts to create the external market environments necessary to drive decarbonization in a way that facilitates these goals and enables others to do so as well.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs.
  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals. Build, maintain and enhance business, operational, and management dashboards.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in new data and software solutions for 24/7 carbon free energy and clean capacity.
  • Manage programs including scoping, resourcing and execution with various Google groups in collaboration with external vendors.
  • Provide expertise and support on specific projects and commercial negotiations.
