Storage Qualification Hardware Engineer, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working in storage and server system technical environments, or an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working with Joint Design Manufacturer (JDM) or Original Device Manufacturer (ODM) partners on storage or server product qualification and development.
- Knowledge of Linux, Python, and shell scripting, along with an understanding of physical and mechanical aspects of server systems.
- Ability to characterize product quality using data analysis to enable failure analysis and root cause identification.
- Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Create test plans and coordinate resource allocation across the test environments.
- Conduct electrical, functional, reliability, and performance testing to ensure hardware meets quality and safety standards.
- Identify bugs, partner with cross-functional teams and external suppliers for root cause analysis, and drive issues to closure.
- Enhance test efficiency and quality across hardware generations by refining qualification processes and methodologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain test framework scripts to expand test automation coverage.
