Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, Physics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) (or 5 years work experience and a Master's degree).

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, Physics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline.

Ads Metrics is the Data Science (DS) team for Search and Owned and Operated (O&O) ads. We support the SAGE (Search Ads and Google Experience) organization in developing the most important ad products at Google - from classic text ads, to rich shopping ads, to exciting new products like Local, Travel and Discovery ads.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team of analysts to run deep product analysis work, provide analytical guidance for our biggest launches, and push the limits of our metrics, methods, and measurement capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with our engineering and product partners, help identify opportunities for our ads products, navigate rapidly changing demands, and work on solutions for complex, ambiguous, high-visibility business challenges.
  • Share results with decision makers, upholding the Ads Metrics team's very high bar of analytical accuracy in methods, code, analysis reports, and presentations.
  • Take on opportunities for growing your skills and developing your career by working on real-world analysis challenges in an innovative and collaborative analysis team.
