Senior Associate, Forecasting and Planning, Global Sales Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with sales forecasting, business analysis, or related fields with a consumer-packaged goods company, especially in electronics.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with statistical models and measurement techniques (e.g., generalized linear models, time series analysis).
  • Experience with advanced spreadsheet software/sheets and presentation slides.
  • Experience with developing forecasting tools and enhancing reporting capabilities with the ability to be investigative and inherent aptitude to quantify and support conclusions with data.
  • Ability to showcase an intellectual curiosity with attention to detail on all projects and deliverables, separately troubleshoot and root cause problems.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with business partners at varying leadership levels.

We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Global Sales Operations team drives sales efficiency and aim achievement by managing the global sales forecast and essential operational processes. We actively shape Supply and Demand Planning strategies to align with financial budgets and projections. By creating and aligning forecast scenarios, we influence cross-functional teams to maximize market share and business. We are invaluable problem-solvers, committed to the overall success of the business.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$170,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with regional business partners to ensure Sales Out and Shipment forecasts meet Weeks of Supply (WOS) goals and on-hand inventory needs. Proactively identifying sales trend opportunities and risks, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Lead forecast team reviews, providing key insights into trends, and identifying risks and opportunities across regions and specific product categories.
  • Conduct weekly actual vs forecast review, deep-diving into exceptions and recommending improvements to enhance forecast accuracy. Refining business processes to optimize efficiencies.
  • Manage forecasting deliverables for an assigned product category from concept to end-of-life.
  • Lead forecast alignment process ensuring accurate and consistent global forecast rollups across regions. Proactively share best practices across Regional Sales Operations, Product and Finance teams.
