Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Web FE development.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • Experience in web frontend development with TS and Angular

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with middleware, Java, Kotlin.
  • Experience with mobile or mobile web development
  • Experience with Google's internal infrastructure (google3)
  • Strong interest in AI products and developer experiences
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

About the job

At Google DeepMind our mission is to build the world's first general-purpose learning agent. Central to this mission is the complex task of measuring the intelligence of our prototypes. As a Software Engineer, you will be working with the cutting edge AI agents developed by our exceptional team of Machine Learning and Neuroscience research scientists. Your responsibilities will include everything from creating systems for agent testing using 2D and 3D games to developing test problems within physics simulators. You will create graphical visualization of results, build competitive agent leaderboards and test new algorithms on robots. To succeed in this role you will need to have a strong foundation in software engineering and enjoy working on a wide range of challenging problems within a mission-driven team.

The Google AI Studio and Gemini API team builds an GenAI IDE (aistudio.google.com) and its backend services for GenAI developers, aiming to grow the developers community around Google’s cutting-edge ML technologies. This opportunity has a high impact potential that lies at the intersection of AI/ML and distributed systems. We are looking for outstanding, highly motivated frontend and full stack software engineer to help with building the Google AI Studio web app.

Responsibilities

  • Continue to match the fast pace of model launches by launching UI features that showcase the models and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and software engineering.
  • Expand AI Studio to support a brand new agent authoring, building, publishing and deployment UI.
  • Bring an exceptional developer documentation and learning experience into the AI Studio FE.
  • Showcase the groundbreaking Audio models’ capabilities in the UI, hopefully creating the next viral (NanoBanana) moment for Gemini.
  • Revamp and upgrade the paid user experience in AI Studio and contribute to the development of new AI tools and platforms.
