Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • 8 years working experience within networking, network architecture, or networking protocol environment.
  • 7 years of experience in leadership role(s) with/without direct reports.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
  • Ability to establish portfolio review cadence, drive decision-making, prioritization and resource stewardship, ensuring measurable improvements that accelerate the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that drive executional impact.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Hire, coach, and develop a team of TPMs to help them achieve professional goals and meet program objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to implement short-term and long-term network infrastructure delivery strategy, set the goal and execute plans for broad, cross-organizational projects.
  • Own the delivery of the entire portfolio of data center network projects by driving effective execution within multi-project programs and being accountable for meeting on-time delivery and cycle time goals.
  • Nurture relationships with partner teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution by defining and developing cross-team roles and responsibilities to improve co-ordination and oversight.
  • Drive process development and optimization by leading execution, managing top programs and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and introducing tooling efficiencies to enable teams to execute effectively.
