Industry Manager, Grocery and Department Stores, LCS

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of industry experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, business development, or digital marketing, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience building relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., internal teams) and external partners (e.g., agencies, clients).
  • Experience collaborating with media agencies across various departments, including communications planning and strategy, AV, and digital teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience influencing executive-level clients and stakeholders and yielding results in complex, agile environments.
  • Experience in delivering results with a shared insight and purpose, including the ability to sell and propose creative solutions across UK and International.
  • Experience in sales/operations management, strategic planning with the ability to align strategies and deliver customer business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Google Ad Solutions, Search, Shopping, Apps, Measurement, video advertising (eg., AI-powered Performance, CTV, AI-powered Video) and the key competitor landscape across digital brand media advertising.
  • Understanding of customer business objectives and ability to develop joint business plans in complex, ambiguous environments.

As the Industry Manager, you will be responsible for developing Google's relationship with businesses. You will shape how Google supports and grows this business across different markets, and work with executive client stakeholders.

Your primary responsibility will be to grow customers and Google’s business on our suite of brand advertising products, with Search and YouTube at the core of your role, demonstrating how our platforms can drive business results for our UK retail clients. You will work within the retail sector and specifically on the department stores and grocery team.

This is for one of the largest and the fastest growing retailers in the UK, with a significant headroom opportunity to unlock, primarily via YouTube (both TV and social share shift), Search strategies (omnichannel, apps, demand led growth) across UK and across food and fashion.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of the clients’ businesses to formulate strategic client account plans to drive growth and achieve client business success globally.
  • Build deep and broad relationships with stakeholders at clients, C-suite organizations, and wider team.
  • Bring the best of Google to the client through coordinating a cross-functional team to collaborate on projects to drive client success and manage the partnership and business plan to drive business growth in UK, international markets and several subdivisions/brands.
  • Work with experts around the business to develop/deliver innovative creative advertising solutions for the client/agencies.
  • Work closely with members of the Large Customer Sales (LCS) team to pitch, plan and ensure successful implementation of client’s search, measurement, and video campaigns.
