Sales Manager, SMB Sales, Google Customer Solutions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in a people management role leading sales teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing relationships with customers or agencies and service partners at an executive level.
  • 6 years of experience working in the advertising, marketing or sales industry, or product area.
  • 2 years of experience working in a matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of traditional and online marketing strategy and tactics or e-commerce experience, with an understanding of e-commerce dynamics.
  • Ability to model and coach sales behaviors including executive level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, competitive offerings, including track record in commercial teams.
  • Ability to self-initiate and thrive in a rapidly changing environment, and effective problem-solving and analytical skills.

Your knowledge of online media, combined with your sales and analytical abilities, shapes how new and existing clients will grow. Sales managers willingly help their teams to partner directly with clients to provide comprehensive service.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, retain, motivate, and develop a client-facing and high-performing sales team of account strategists and account executives.
  • Deliver against ambitious business and product growth goals, grow engagement, and client satisfaction for a portfolio of medium businesses in an assigned market.
  • Analyze data, trends, and client performance with your teams to develop strategic plans for customers while tracking activity. Provide detailed data analysis weekly, driving consistent CRM tracking.
  • Model and coach sales behaviors including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, and offering.
  • Lead and strengthen executive-level relationships through key executive level meetings, business reviews, and speaking engagements.
