Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in system design or one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).
  • 6 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
  • Current, active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience translating business requirements into technology solutions for customers adopting cloud solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with channel partners, systems integrators and third-party developers to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Experience in application/workload migration to public cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform.
  • Ability to engage effectively with executives of large enterprises on both technical and non-technical matters.

As an Application Development Strategic Cloud Engineer for Public Sector Professional Services, supporting the Service Delivery team for the Global Public Sector, you will play a key role in ensuring that customers derive maximum value from their Google Cloud Platform investments. You’ll leverage your technical expertise and customer service skills to create an exceptional customer experience, empowering them to succeed with Google Cloud.

In this role, you’ll focus on ensuring the quality of customer engagements, while building strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. These relationships will help your team meet the customer’s technical requirements and business objectives. You are committed to successful delivery and execution, leading by example to ensure customers in your region succeed.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Act as a key business advisor and create a center of excellence around cloud application development technologies, including the hiring, onboarding, and management of both full-time employees and contingent workforce.
  • Help establish processes to drive the Service Delivery AppDev strategy in support of the business. Be responsible for AppDev-related pre-sales Statement of Work (SoW) support and approval activities, and serve as the primary point of contact with regional teams for any data-related needs.
  • Manage processes to create reusable artifacts for public sector business. Work in partnership with other service delivery teams to establish any global processes for various compliance or private cloud related solutions for the aimed customers.
  • Present technical materials effectively to various stakeholder groups.
  • Engage effectively with executives of large enterprises on both technical and non-technical matters.
