Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience working with customer-side web technologies (e.g., HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, XML, TypeScript) and database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
- Experience in technical leadership, people management, project management, and leading business transformation initiatives.
- Experience in payments, financial services, or banking related domains.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, with ability to translate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to collaborate, build consensus, deliver, and drive technical decisions with executive stakeholders across different functions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$263,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Partner Engineering team working on the Google Pay API and Wallet Payments, supporting new partner incubation projects and identifying opportunities to optimize and automate workflows.
- Collaborate with executive product, engineering and business development stakeholders for annual resource planning, project prioritization, pipeline review, escalations and presentations.
- Partner with product managers and software engineers to enhance or develop new Google tools and products.
- Drive scale and efficiency across partner engineering workflows by working with gUP horizontal teams.
- Align stakeholder expectations and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver technical solutions and provide technical/business feedback.
