  • 1 year of experience using statistical and data analysis tools.
  • 1 year of experience with electrical testing.

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).

About the job

As a Quantum Systems Yield Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the traceability of our room temperature and cryogenic test data originating from various sources, probe stations, benchtop test jigs, cryogenic stations, among others. In this role, you will work with test engineers to assure we are saving data consistently between subteams, creates workflows, ensures data fidelity and generates data plots, reports, maintains databases between different test software and supports direct test coverage for components and subsystems as needed.The full potential of quantum computing will be unlocked with a large-scale computer capable of complex, error-corrected computations. Google Quantum AI's mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. Our roadmap is focused on advancing the capabilities of quantum computing and enabling meaningful applications.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$151,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Specify and maintain mechanical, electrical, and thermal test fixturing for component, sub-assembly, and system testing.
  • Perform statistical analysis for component lifetime and sampling experiments.
  • Work with software and hardware teams to assure test and yield data is traceable and accessible for fast decision making.
  • Perform data analysis in support of new tests and root cause analysis.
  • Work with hardware teams to create pass/fail criteria and automation for test analysis.
