About the job
The Google Global Network (GGN) is the world’s largest network, defined by a unique architecture that ensures global reliability, speed, and hardware efficiency. Spanning the Edge network, the B2 backbone (Edge-to-Data-Center), and the B4 backbone (Data-Center-to-Data-Center), our infrastructure presents massive-scale engineering issues that require sophisticated, well-tested network management services and specialized device validation.Managing a network of this magnitude is high-stakes; even minor software regressions can impact global connectivity. The GGN Engineering Productivity (EngProd) team is the backbone of this reliability. We provide the comprehensive tools and physical infrastructure that empower all of GGN Engineering to test network management software and hardware effectively. Beyond infrastructure, we partner with network service owners to architect end-to-end testing strategies, from functional and integration testing to full-scale solution and staging environments.
In this role, you will ensure that the software managing Google's global traffic is scalable and validated against the highest standards of engineering excellence.
