Sales Manager, DACH, Specialized Devices and Services (English, German)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in the mobile devices space specialized on business-to-business (B2B) accounts.
  • Experience working in a distributed cross-functional team both internally and externally.
  • Experience with leading and managing B2B partnerships and partner relationships in the smartphone segment.
  • Experience with analytical sales approach with a focus on building relationships with clients.
  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently as this is a client facing role in the DACH market.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Android Enterprise.
  • Experience managing end-to-end partnerships.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with partners.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, solve problems and scale effectively across a large organization with excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills.

About the job

In this role, you will build and maintain relationships with many of our partners in the business-to-business (B2B)/reseller space in Germany. You will also launch new relationships, capitalize on business opportunities, plan go-to-market and promotion executions, resolve issues, analyze and track key metrics to identify trends. You will be a key partner contact, collaborating cross-functionally to drive implementations designed to improve business of Google hardware. You will possess relationship-building skills, proven experience in discussing partnerships and renewals, the ability to clarify and summarize issues and attention to detail. You will also possess excellent problem-solving skills regarding contractual, technical and financial issues with partners and bring with you the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally at all levels of management.

You will be working closely with all functions across Google but in particular Marketing, Business Operations and Product Engineering to build, launch, and track business programs and initiatives.

The Hardware Partnerships team was formed with the purpose of bringing the best of Google’s software and hardware to our users by bringing to market and distributing a Google-branded hardware portfolio. The team is responsible for managing all partnerships with carriers, retailers and resellers worldwide. This includes the partnerships for products such as Pixel, Google Wifi, Google Nest Thermostat, Chromecast Ultra and Google Home.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure and execute business initiatives, develop work plans, lead analysis and develop and communicate final recommendations.
  • Forecast and report key metrics, track actual progress toward forecasts, drive and evaluate business growth of promotional and business opportunities.
  • Manage hardware products and business growth. Identify opportunities and drive the understanding you have with the partners to take Google Hardware to the next level.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the smartphone B2B and carrier business in Germany. Work with Legal teams to discuss and execute agreements.
  • Build long-term relationships to help to realize and optimize value from partnerships by collaborating with executive level.
