Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • Experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, cluster management, and other software infrastructure areas.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, business, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 1 year of experience in technical leadership.

In this role, you will identify, design and deliver reliability outcomes to reduce the frequency and impact of Google Cloud Platform Outages, developing necessary products and tooling to support our goals.

In this Cloud Reliability Platform Product Manager role, you will be part of a team responsible for building a platform which enables Google Cloud to deliver reliability. Besides managing reliability risks and verifying reliability claims made to customers, the platform enables critical connections between a customer’s application or workload built using multiple Google Cloud products and the underlying Google engineering Systems and Teams that own them.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide product goals, definitions, and delivery plans for a set of products that provide customer-centric reliability management, reporting, and insights.
  • Develop business cases, PRDs (Product Requirements Documents), and business requirement documents to guide and assist with multiple reliability-centric use cases and transition users from current implementations to the platform.
  • Develop product strategy, engage with users, partners, and stakeholders to discuss product requirements, and validate the product roadmap.
  • Interface with development teams and maintain clear documentation of requirements for effective execution.
  • Define key operational metrics and establish an efficient process to track progress and report regularly on those metrics.
