Central Strategy and Operations Senior Associate, Go-To-Market (English, Chinese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, or project management.
  • Experience with problem solving and data analysis, then synthesize results and translate data into business insights for stakeholders.
  • Experience in operationalizing priorities and project management to project completion.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Chinese fluently, to support the Greater China stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with large data sets and dashboards (e.g., Google Sheets, SQL database queries/analysis, Connect Sales).
  • Experience working with digital ads.
  • Knowledge of Google’s business.
  • Ability to be self-directed, proactive, and solution-focused, with a strong propensity for taking initiative.
  • Excellent people-management and communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, relationship development and influencing skills.

About the job

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

This role involves a direct partnership with sales leadership to support strategy planning and execution in the Greater China and Korea market. You will also lead and project manage a range of central projects and operations critical to the future growth of Google’s business in the subregion.

You will be comfortable in distilling complex inputs into concrete and executable pillars for our business, partnering with senior-level business stakeholders. In this role, you will have a bias for action, driving projects and initiatives forward in a structured manner. You will also have the experience and capability to flex between high-level thinking and executional-level details, depending on the needs of our business.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project implementation with limited guidance from your manager, and identify creative solutions to solve problems and ensure project completion.
  • Design and run business processes, including metrics to understand and improve business performance, and execute at scale.
  • Collaborate closely across Google, particularly with Asia Pacific (APAC) and global Go-to-Market teams to implement global/regional best practices in Greater China and Korea (GCKR).
  • Provide day-to-day problem-solving on operational issues.
  • Advocate the right answer for Google, while testing the status quo.
