Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with data query language (e.g., SQL or related).
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to manage cross-functional relationships and work in a changing environment.
  • Excellent business acumen, communication, data aggregation and synthesis skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to transform data into insights and executive summaries.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

In this role, you will be responsible for marketing costs and budgets, working with teams across Finance and Marketing. You will gain an exposure to Google's marketing landscape, with monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on spend, all while identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency.The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning cycles, provide visibility into Google’s marketing spend and resource allocation decisions.
  • Act as a business partner to multiple marketing teams, manage purchase orders, oversee cost management, report on budgets, and contribute to financial planning. Identify, measure, and analyze performance metrics to provide guidance and insights, driving improvements in marketing effectiveness.
  • Become the master aggregator and synthesizer of financial data, work across products and business units to compile a consolidated view of marketing performance.
  • Develop and refine essential financial processes and reporting frameworks, focusing on efficiency and quality.
  • Produce executive summaries, transform financial data and key messages into insights for leadership.
