Lead Solution Strategist, Vendor Management Organization

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in management consulting, operations consulting, business development, or similar roles.
  • Experience in global vendor operations management, program and project management, shared services, or global business services.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in developing and implementing vendor management solutions, including vendorization strategies (with a preference for public sector experience).
  • Experience in managing and optimizing technology-driven service models, particularly for learning services or similar functions.
  • Ability to lead innovation and drive transformation within vendor ecosystems, leveraging AI technologies to optimize vendor management processes.
  • Excellent skills in building and managing partnerships with industry leaders, and influencing cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, capable of conveying information and driving alignment across audiences.

About the job

This pivotal role is central to building the future of vendor engagement within Google Cloud's Vendor Management Organization (VMO). You will be responsible for driving solutions, innovation, and transformation across areas. This includes leading the vendorization strategy for the public sector, identifying and implementing innovative solutions from our extensive vendor ecosystem, and defining and managing the Learning Services vendor model. You will be instrumental in transforming the VMO into an AI-driven enterprise and driving transformation within the Google Public Sector. This high-impact position offers a unique opportunity to forge outcome-based partnerships with executive industry leaders, leverage technology-driven service models for enhanced delivery control, and establish new benchmarks for partnerships within the industry.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $218,000-$306,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead public sector vendorization strategies and VMO transformation, leveraging AI to optimize spend, performance, and overall vendor management processes.
  • Drive innovation within Google Cloud's vendor ecosystem, identifying and implementing solutions to enhance business growth and efficiency.
  • Define, manage, and optimize vendor models for Learning Services and other functions, ensuring quality, technology-driven delivery and resource utilization.
  • Cultivate and nurture outcome-based partnerships with executive industry leaders, establishing Google Cloud as a pioneer in collaborations. Set new standards for partnerships within the industry, driving best practices and innovation.
  • Set new industry standards for partnerships, actively engaging with leaders to drive best practices and innovation across the vendor landscape. Enhance delivery models through domain specific applied AI in delivery models.
