The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$255,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop from scratch the next generation of AI technologies that empower Google users.
  • Work on Janus modeling and quality, including setting up evaluation sets and infrastructure, agentic orchestration flows, prompt iteration, context engineering, autoraters, and training data collection. Work with the One Recipe team on iterating on new versions of the Gemini model through SFT and RL techniques.
  • Read and research industrial ideas in this area and apply them to our real use cases.
  • Participate in code reviews, enforce development best practices, and share your knowledge to raise the team's overall technical expertise.
  • Work in a small team environment to rapidly develop a new product.
