- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with industry accepted compliance policy and frameworks.
- Experience influencing cross-functionally, and with leadership audiences.
- Understanding compliance program management principles, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control frameworks.
- Ability to collaborate and build working relationships with cross-functional teams, executive management, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex compliance concepts and requirements to diverse audiences.

The Google Compliance team makes sure that our business is always consistent with the current financial regulations. Comprised of multitaskers, this team balances Google's legal and compliance requirements with the dynamic needs of our users and the values of our company. As part of this team, you proactively identify pain points and gaps in existing policy frameworks and find innovative solutions. You develop efficient compliance systems and work with teams to implement these across the organization. You are thorough in all you do and see to it that as Google pursues our next big idea, we always have our bases covered.
The newly formed Risk, Compliance and Integrity organization (RCI) brings together critical compliance, assurance, risk and governance functions across Google to help the company meet compliance needs and enable our businesses to innovate. Our goal is to make compliance an engaged advantage for Google by driving scaled, data-driven, and policy-based compliance programs. We manage our operations through risk-based prioritization and governance and consistent and constructive regulator engagement.
In this role, you will be responsible for the Enterprise Risk Management program for Alphabet and you will be defining and maintaining the Enterprise Risk Framework and top line key risk indicators. You will be defining, maintaining inventories of, and driving alignment to standardized policy artifacts and definitions. You will be providing policy oversight to ensure adherence to standards and periodic review and renewal of policies, executing training programs across the company relevant to risk and compliance policies, Also you will be defining and ensuring best practices and coherence of business risk assessments
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain policy requirements for policies and standards, including maintaining Policy on Policies and Standards and policy templates.
- Maintain taxonomies and inventories of policies, standards, and related artifacts.
- Prevent compliance policy gaps and overlaps by assisting policy owners who are making updates; enforce adherence to policy standards to ensure quality and process standards (e.g., regular review, approval, and renewal).
- Establish metrics, KPIs, and performance goals to monitor the effectiveness and impact of Policy effectiveness.
